Pretty sick shoe run.
Juxtaposition of the day: X-country V. Track
Lot's of people who don't run think that track and cross are the same, but they're totally different. I personally like track better because of the energy you get with the everyone watching the entire race. In cross on the other hand you get to really show your metal to yourself because there are some places where the only one who knows how you are doing is you.

In a Catholic school cafeteria, a nun places a note in front of a pile of apples, "Only take one. God is watching." Further down the line is a pile of cookies. A little boy makes his own note, "Take all you want. God is watching the apples."

P.M. We had 10x200 repeats. I was a little freaked out at first because the times I was supposed to be hitting were the same as my personal record in the 200. I hit the time 6 out of 10 times but it could have been better.
Jettison of the Day:
Sputnik I, the first manmade satellite to orbit the Earth.
|
| | A.M. 60 minutes easy. I ran the first 30 solo because I had a job interview in the afternoon. It's super scetchy running alone at 5:30 in in the morning, every sprinkler that turned on scared the crap out of me.

|
| | A.M. pretty chill easy run.
P.M. We had our Cosmin test today. I ran 1554 meters which is a big P.R. for me. Afterwards, I got a pretty painful blister on the side of my foot but I'll keep an eye on it to keep it from getting too nasty.

Herriman Invite (0.5 Miles) 00:02:05 | | A.M. Same old same old
P.M. I had a crummy start in both the 800 and 1600. In the 1600 a guy got shoeved and fell right in front of me so I had to go clear into lane 4 to get around him. I could have done better. In the 800 I was completely engulfed right from the start. I managed to get out of the pack and get into a better position for the second half.

P.M. I had a beast race. I started with a 56 second 400 but my 200 I was completely worn out and slowed down to get another 2:05. I felt good about it until I saw my time was the same as the past million times I ran the 800. But feel like I gave it my all which is good enough for now.
